Today when I got home from work Pink and I went on our 15 minute run (her in the stroller, of course). Good thing I decided to run in the 90 degree weather, fabulous idea, Les! When we rolled in the garage I got her out of the jogging stroller and we headed straight for the backyard. I turned on the sprinkler and just stood in the middle of it, I was a tad hot!
Pink just sort of stood there on the patio looking at me like, "Um, what are you doing and how can I get in on that?" I told her to come on in. She started walking toward it and I quickly told her to go back to the patio. She was wearing jorts and all I could see were raw legs from the jeans rubbing on her thighs (or lack there of). I threw her jorts inside and we started running around like chickens with our heads cut off. I was definitely in a playful mood tonight, lucky for Pink. On another note, it is amazing at how much more energy you have the more active you are, kind of like a breakfast for dinner weird, a good weird.
When I was ready to go in and eat dinner I waited for her to run the opposite direction and then I ran to the faucet and turned it off. She kind of watched it dwindle down and then looked at me like, "Did I break it?" Then she looked at me and said, "Sorry, Mommy! I breaked it." I explained to her that she did not break it (for once, ha) but that it had to stop so it could rest for all the watering it was going to be doing this weekend. She actually bought it and we came inside for dinner and a bath.
Dinner tonight was "breakfast for dinner." My wonderful husband, Leo, asked me if I wanted him to make me an omelet. It did not take me long to think about the answer to that question, YES! Of course I had special modifications that had to be made but he did not mind. Egg whites only with low fat shredded cheese and tomatoes (AKA a can of rotel). It was so good. Why don't I eat breakfast for dinner more often? Maybe I will. There is nothing better than breakfast for dinner, in my opinion. Would a huge stack of pancakes been better? Not sure and I guess I'll never know. Maybe I should have a designated cheat day...pancakes, YUMMY!
Tomorrow is Friday! Wait, it was just Monday morning like 10 seconds ago. Either way, I'll take it! Have a great night, Toodles!
